There were many projects for Owen this spring in school (Challenge 1).
The culminating event for his class was a formal dinner called Protocol. They reviewed and learned about etiquette and manners for several weeks prior to the dinner, and the dinner was the time to practice their skills. This particular dinner was organized as a murder mystery party, which was a packet purchased online, having to do with Revolutionary War time.
It was a lovely evening with a special, formal dinner designed, cooked, and presented by Mrs. Gross's professional chef husband.
Performing Taming of the Shrew as Petrucio and presenting his Shakespeare project: Shakespearean Insults. It was both educational and entertaining.
Presenting Stock Market Project and Cost of Living Project
Stock Market Project: The semester was spent playing a simulation game using the live stock market, but using fake money to learn how stocks go and grow and decline and die.
The Cost of Living Project was a semester long compilation of researching and finding all the elements of life that cost money and how to make money and how to spend money. It was educational and enlightening to all students/participants.
