Mom organized a school trip with the Wednesday Explorers group to Lutherhaven in Coeur d'Alene this year. It was a private field day, which we divided into 2 age groups. So the groups were only 8-10 kids large, which gave all kids enough time to participate in all the events. Our field events this year included: the giant swing, archery, wilderness survival (fire and shelter building), field games, and geocaching.

The giant swing was near the end of the day and everyone who wanted to got the chance to ride the swing and decide how far up they wanted to go before released themselves fromt he hitch and swinging.

Lutherhaven is always super fun (and a little stressful to put together and gather money and make all the connections for all the people). Going in May is WAY warmer/more pleasant than going in April (cold/windy).
