Owen tried out for and made the Central Valley High school JV soccer team as a freshman this year. Congratulations! Yay!
It was a mostly positive learning experience and overall he had a fun time.
Owen got to play goalie during one game when the regular goalie was not present. This game was played at Gonzaga Prep Academy and it rained the ENTIRE time we were there sitting outside. But Owen got to play keeper, kept the ball out several times, and had a solo shot on goal when he wasn't keeper.
Emily wanted to play spring soccer as well and was placed on the same team she had previous years, with the same coach (Coach Alex Hamilton "Hammy") and mostly the same teammates. They named themselves the Red Tigers and had a great time together.
